Open Stage Night April 8th

Following on from the success of their Open Mic Nights, SuperKidd Promotions returns to The Stables in Mullingar on Friday April 8th for their first Open Stage Night. Now along with the finest local and national solo musicians, music lovers will be treated to a variety of bands from Mullingar and further afield!

"We were poking around the stage, surveying our many foolish purchases which really crowded the place and thought, if we tidied up a bit we could host whole bands as well as solo acts you know" one SuperKidd insider was quoted as saying. "Once we got the 8ft tall gold Steven Seagal statue out it only left the Pandas and boxes of official Darragh J. Glennon replica wigs to deal with" the source added.

As usual slots were snapped up quickly, with SuperKidd delighted to welcome back Mrs Colombo and Paulie Martin who played so well at last month's Open Mic night. Effervescent duo Geeks in Glasses also return with their brand of spectacled shenanigans. No stranger to The Stables, rockers Neon Tetras become the first band to avail of the Open Stage offer as do Dublin six piece instrumental act Overhead, The Albatross. Catch them before they head off on their UK tour and become huge. Completing the line up is Brian "Murph" Murphy, careful driver and one half of Arrow in the Sky. Shayne Byrne will be there too. In keeping with the spirit of Open Mic, slots will be open until 8pm on the night for anyone who's ever wanted to showcase their mad music skills or can tell a few jokes. No poets please. The Pandas don't like them.
